2019 Wrap-Up: A Few of Our Favorite PM Podcast Episodes This Year

The PM crew had a lot of fun with the podcast this year. Every guest has brought a new perspective and interesting insight on a number of topics, and each episode presents an opportunity for Sean and Brendan to argue the merits of Weezer. When they’re not talking about that, “Jurassic Park” or “Star Wars,” they’ve had some great conversations with people from all across the industry, from suppliers and distributors to end-buyers and more. Here are a few of those PM Podcast episodes to either revisit or listen to for the first time.

Our First In-Studio Guest

Hit Promotional Products’ Kellyann Messick dropped by the studio to advise us on how to plan for the PPAI Expo—how to maximize your time on the show floor, what to expect, and how to pack wisely.

HotCards’ Greg Schwartz Talks Big-Game Clients

Schwartz formed a strong relationship with the Cleveland Browns through a successful promotional campaign. We spoke with him about how distributors can land a dream client like a professional sports team, and how to maintain that relationship.

Creating ‘Instagrammable’ Branded Merch (and More)

BAMKO’s Phil Koosed joined the show for a wide-ranging discussion about reaching younger demographics, private equity in promo, corporate social responsibility and a whole bunch more.

PM Podcast Goes Live

Sean and Brendan took the show on the road to the PPAI Expo East in Atlantic City. If you liked this episode, you’ll love what we have in store for Vegas!

Celebrating Pop-Up Shops (and Adopting Pets)

Our associate content editor Sarah Semple joined the podcast to talk to Heather Achenbach, director of a New Jersey animal shelter, about branded merchandise for nonprofits and how online pop-up shops can change the game.

Sustainable Innovation

Ben Grossman of Grossman Marketing Group gave us the inside scoop on SwagCycle, his company’s new program for recycling or repurposing unused promotional products.

This was just a taste of the podcast this year. We’re looking forward to another eventful year in promo and beyond. Starting Tuesday Dec. 24, our Headlines and Threads newsletters will be taking some time off for the holidays, but don’t worry. They’ll be back Thursday Jan. 2 to catch you up and keep you updated on all things promotional products.
